The Latest...

I have debated all day whether to take pictures of Garrison in the NICU. Are those scenes we want to remember?
After much thought and tearful prayers, I decided to take and share a few pics. The reason...because I want to be able to look BACK and see the wonderful things that God did when he brought about healing. And I believe we're getting there.
I can't thank you enough for your prayers. Hopefully you can see from the above paragraph that we can feel your prayers and derive our strength from them. We BEG you to keep them coming!

UPDATE: Earlier tonight, the nurse lifted our hearts by telling us Garrison's levels are looking very good. His blood-gas levels are right where they need to be. His inflammation levels are down, and his white cell count is down to 15 (ideally it should be between 14 and 18) from 35. He is currently on 30% oxygen, down from 39% earlier tonight. And he is sleeping BIG TIME (he really needed his rest.) The nurse also turned his ventilator down from 14 to 11 (I know, I don't know what that means either, but it sounds great!) Between the doctors, nurses and a loving God, we know our little Garrison is in good hands.

I prayed at midnight, 3:00 am, 5:00 am and 7:00 am for you and Garrison. I'll keep praying as often as his name comes into my mind today. And with the Spirit's help, that will be a lot. God bless. Perhaps this will give you insight into the agony that God has when He sees one of His children suffer.

Thanks for the update Franklin. Everything is looking better. Garrison is staying with us in our thoughts and prayers all day long. God has given modern medicine so much knowledge to help us when problems arise. Few more days and Garrison will be just fine.
Love you all,
Grandpa and Nana

In the name of the Great Physician, I ask for strength and peace of mind for Franklin and Tracy, I ask for knowledge and kindness of the physicians and nurses who tend to Garrison. I praise you Father for creating such an amazingly beautiful boy who's parents dedicate to raise him for your service. I pray for his little immune system to work properly, for his lungs to grow strong and breathe for him without the need of the ventilator. I pray the touch of his parents will be reassuring and comforting to him. Most of all Lord, I pray that this family may be reunited quickly for we know you are able to immeasurably more than we ask. Amen

You and you family are in my thoughts- Erin

Oh how those pictures bring back memories! What we learned is to celebrate each baby step that brings him one step closer to home. Celebrate the ventilator settings being decreased each % because it means he is getting a little better and a little stronger! You are in our prayers!

I saw your note on dad's blog and clicked over here and was so glad to read the nurse's good news.

May God hold your sweet baby tight in his loving arms. ...and bless him with great health and you and your family with overwhelming peace.
